I really love these free writings. I wish I was able to contribute for paid content at this time. I don't know if you venture onto the BtB subreddit, but there was a post fairly recently about your prepping podcast. Someone pointed out that you bring hope to prepper talk that is lacking in a lot of other resources on the subject. I think that person hit the nail on the head.
oh that's wonderful, I'm glad to hear! I tend to stay away from places where people discuss my work too much, it makes me too anxious. But I like when I hear about people having said nice things. And don't worry at all about the paid content--the half that is free isn't like, the lesser half or something.
Thank you for writing this. I’m a SAHM currently, but have experience in the super capitalist fields of purchasing and inventory management. I also have an extremely difficult time with social interaction. But I want to help- do you know if these skills are useful somehow?
well, stay at home parenting is useful already, everything from educational to care skills transfer over well to other things. Besides just raising a generation who can think critically and question the nonsense that our society is based on.
But also: organizers and organizations need childcare, if watching kids doesn't count as the sorts of social interactions you're avoiding.
Mutual aid organizations handle inventory and I suspect that local ones, once they know you and trust you more, might be excited for help figuring out purchasing. Even for my own sake, I used to distribute emergency kits all the time, and it took a friend of mine to really talk to me about how to buy in bulk or what options were to streamline and save money on the whole process.
-programmed point of sale software designed for cooperative bookstores
-developed systems of anonymous payments for sex workers and others to use safely
-built world-spanning decentralized communication software (hell, Signal was written by anarchists)
-developed games with radical themes
-done front and back end web development for countless projects
I have no doubt there's more to do.
Also, frankly, software engineers are sometimes in better positions than others to acquire financial resources to redistribute, though of course that's different for everyone.
Hi Margaret, I'm a big fan of coolzone media and your words on the podcast have always been of comfort.
I'm reaching out to you in solidarity with a trans woman who has been prevented from renewing her identity card in Bulgaria this is being going on for several years she's been unable to leave the country as being challenged or having male documents before the documents were going to be changed for her..
Enduring the trials has been very tough but she stuck it out and the final stage of appeal has been denied.
She tore up Birth certificate in court and has gone on Hunger strike, and is currently sitting outside of the court building for over a day at this point..
Me and our anarchist collectives from the capital in Bulgaria are supporting her but we could do with someone with a bit more reach assisting in gallering attention trying to put pressure on the Bulgarian government..
Not sure how this platform works I sought you out on Twitter but I respect your decision to leave there so can you DM me to exchange contact details I can also link you to the articles on some of our pages:
