I really love the way you've laid this all out. Thanks!

Thank you for the article. As you may have noticed, the far-right party in the state of Saxony-Anhalt scored a victory in the “Landtag” elections, winning 44% of the vote. This is one of the states in the territory of the former GDR, with a population of just over 2 million. Their political history—at least that of those still living there who experienced the GDR and the deindustrialization following the so-called “Wende”—is undoubtedly complicated, and there are also many there who did not vote for the fascists. A key issue is exactly what you address in the article: How do people feel represented, acknowledged, and respected? One aspect of the election results is that Chancellor Merz and his team—but also the other parties—have fallen into a crisis of credibility. Unfortunately, people don’t automatically draw the right conclusions from this. We see this all too clearly here in Europe, just as you do there.

With that in mind, I hope that my translation into German reaches some of those who actually want to bring about positive change: https://www.trueten.de/archives/14392-Die-Rueckeroberung-der-Macht-durch-das-Volk-oder-Margaret-schreibt-ein-bisschen-Theorie.html
